Some of New England’s most acclaimed cuisine is found at The Terrace at The Charlotte Inn. Classic American cuisine showcases many ingredients from Martha’s Vineyard’s own farms and seas, and its bounty of local gardens. The result is at once classic and contemporary. Sumptuous meals are presented amidst stunning surroundings. Whether it is by flickering candlelight in the glass-paned conservatory dining room, or in warmer months beneath the stars on a terrace enclosed by ivy-covered lattice, there is no more romantic or elegant setting in which to enjoy the evening meal. By morning these same rooms transform into a sun-dappled setting where Inn guests may take breakfast. With the experience of having run the Relais & Chateaux affiliated hotel for over 40 years, The Charlotte Inn is now delighted to also own and operate The Terrace under the leadership of Executive Chef Justin Melnick. The Terrace serves dinner to the public Thursday through Sunday nights in the off-season, and nightly in-season. The Charlotte Inn provides a window into a different time - a gentler age when personalized service was to be expected when staying or dining at one of the finer hotels or restaurants in this country or abroad. It is this old-world ambiance that entices guests to return, year after year, where they find something that elsewhere has been lost. The addition of The Terrace restaurant indeed compliments one’s experience at The Charlotte Inn, for both our hotel guests, and, for dinner, the public alike.
